Fraternal Member Benefits Programs

National  Slovak  Society  Scholarship  Program

Introduction:

One of the ways the National Slovak Society supports education is through its NSS Scholarship Program.  The program was started in 1966 and named in honor of our founder - Peter Vitazoslav Rovnianek.  Each year, many of our young members receive grants from the fund to attend college or trade school. From its inception, hundreds of our NSS youth have been recipients.

Additional scholarships are given in the name of Mary Mravec, Dr. John Gulash and the NSS Board of Directors. Also awarded are Perpetual Memorial Scholarships in the name of Mary B. Burns, Ann Marie Czarney and Assembly 065 in Chicago, Illinois.

Through this program, National Slovak Society has played a part in the education of young doctors, lawyers, teachers, business people and religious leaders, to name just a few.  Many of these people remain loyal, lifelong members of National Slovak Society, contributing their time and talents to fraternal programs.
